Unplug: Your Soul doesn’t Scroll

I set an intention to make September about health, and I admit that it’s been a wonky start.

This week, the news feed pulled me in and I might need to log out to gain control over my wide-eyed fascination.

Yes, it is important to know what is happening in the world.

Remember though that there used to be one newspaper per day that people would read, or one news program at night.

We might have discussed details with friends and neighbors face-to-face at some point.

We did not have constant updates and ways to debate the issue with strangers or people we met once at a party in 2013.

Thrive in Venus Retrograde

At the start of March, our view of Venus went Retrograde. First in Aries, and then into Pisces.

After April 12th, our view of the morning star will appear to head in it’s normal path again.

What does this mean? How do we make the most of this?

Venus is aligned with relationships, money, creativity, and beauty. During a retrograde, it’s better to not make any grand shifts in these areas of life.

Transform Stress with Mindfulness and Divination

Stress infiltrates our choices.

We might panic and rush into a decision too quickly.

Sometimes we blow up at people from a past hurt that the person standing in front of us may not have even caused.

Stress makes us hyper self-protect and shut down.

There is a lot of stress right now for many of us, and I find that learning new tools to access our higher self is one of the most powerful ways to stay centered in tough times.

The intuitive and divination arts are a pathway to uplevel in your mindfulness techniques.

Holiday Priorities Recalibrated

In the holiday rush, it’s important to tune inward to what really matters to you.

This week, I mailed out gifts family who I have not seen in years. I found myself sad and a little triggered.

I don’t mind the effort and cost of gifts. I like showing I care this way. But I felt empty about it.

I sat with that feeling, waiting for what was behind it to emerge.

Blessed Samhain: Free Tarot Reading

Samhain is about the honoring of the ancestors, so I am using Reese Marren’s beautifully curated deck of classical paintings by dead artists, The Pensive Path Tarot.

Samhain’s dark side relates to this reading deeply as the message is about letting go of that which keeps life from flourishing.

Make Halloween Meaningful

It’s time to figure out what you’re going to be for Halloween (if you haven’t already).

Some of us enjoy a clever wordplay joke as a simple costume. Others may learn some dance moves to be their best Olympian Aussie breakdancer.

I prefer to focus on how you can relish this opportunity to express some darkness within.

Halloween can be healing. It’s an opportunity to look at the parts of you that reflect the Moon card’s disturbing hidden secrets.
