Navigate to your best life
Most of my clients come in for readings to figure out change.
Sometimes to make it happen.
Often to manage it.
Always to process it’s influence.
Tarot is a wonderful art to approach change from a place of curiosity and fresh perspectives. I believe the cards encourage leaning into shifts, especially when you have no choice in their arrival.
The best kind of change is the one where you get to control it’s activation. Even when we know that, it’s still hard to stick with upgrades. We can initiate and fail countless times before holding firm to a growth we know we need.
I was born into a world where a great shift had just taken place for women in the decade beforehand.
This had affected men somewhat already, but times since have shown that both genders had a lot further to go to re-frame their ideals.
I feel like we are at an awakening for healthy masculine archetypes to become more prevalent. But what do those look like?
It seems like everyone’s ex is a Narcissist these days. Obviously, this is not statistically possible.
However, when a friend describes the behaviors of this person, we can often confirm that they are dealing with a certified jerk.
We can’t really diagnose without a degree, but we can call it like it is.
Even if full-blown NPD is only in around 5% of the population, general narcissistic traits are more common.
We don’t need an absolute DSM-approved diagnosis anyhow to empower ourselves with people who are awful to communicate with.
Today, let’s consider some methods to manage talks with people who feel impossible to have a fair exchange with.
Being that my job is reading symbols, I am very intrigued by this image.
Life is a mix of routine and the unexpected. It is up to us to know how to keep ourselves in a healthy wheel of the sequences that serve us while managing the surprises.
Obviously we need to constantly keep orderly enough with our daily needs of sleep, food, water, exercise, work, cleaning, etc.
We also do well to know what our needs are around larger scales of energy output versus decompression.
These may not be the same for everyone, and you can thrive when you know and respect your own course, and correct it as needed.
In the field of self-improvement, we often want big gains that are obvious and quick.
I’ve been doing a new health regiment and I have to remind myself to acknowledge the improvements I have made, rather than focus on my impatience with how slow the process is.
Screenwriter Nora Ephron wrote a resonant line in When Harry met Sally, spoken by another great writer, Carrie Fisher: “instant gratification takes too long”.
With smartphones and the internet, we’ve all become quite accustomed to immediacy.
I love Tauruses.
I have almost no earth in my natal chart (only Taurus in Chiron). I seem to collect Earth people to help me balance out.
A major reason I enjoy my bull friends is because they have a grounding effect on me. They like good food, snuggles, and routines. These are all essential for my well-being, and each of these work best with outside support.
I finished season one of the Telepathy Tapes podcast. Now I have been binging Love on the Spectrum’s new season. These got me thinking about how wonderful community can be when we include more acceptance of the socially awkward outliers.
Last chance to join the only 9-hour class I will be teaching this year! Do the deed and learn the cards this Spring!
If you need to miss a class, I can record the Zoom sessions for you to watch at your convenience.
Art of Tarot Classes will run on Saturdays
May 2nd, May 16th, and May 30th
11:30am to 2:30pm PST (you can eat lunch while we learn)
I am also teaching an interactive workshop on Psychic Intuitive Skills at the Spirit Northwest Conference in Portland this weekend. There are still day passes available for Saturday when I teach.
Today I am offering a small lesson to give you a taste of how I break down the cards into simple concepts.
The court cards are the character cards. They are personalities and ways of approaching life.
