Just Keep Swimming

This has been a hard week for me, and the only way to write this today is to share the cycles I swirl through and hope that someone out here will benefit from thinking about their own with compassion or humor.

In short, the privilege to poop at home is about to cost a large portion of my savings, and might require me to get a loan. (Please send good vibes that the latter is not required).

With all that is happening in the world, I can roll with the presumption that you are also mucking through the mire of poo management in your own ways.

The only way out is through. So let’s collectively consider our own natural cycles around stress response and offer ourselves compassion and forgiveness in our current state of being.

Brave Your Emotions

Emotions can be uncomfortable and hard to lean into.

One morning, I woke up angry next to my then partner. It wasn’t even from a recent fight so much as an accumulation of frustrations.

I wanted to gather my things and leave and let myself be angry at him without discussion.

But, then it happened . . . the cat laid on me.

Obviously I now had no choice but to stay there and feel my anger.

Make Halloween Meaningful

It’s time to figure out what you’re going to be for Halloween (if you haven’t already).

Some of us enjoy a clever wordplay joke as a simple costume. Others may learn some dance moves to be their best Olympian Aussie breakdancer.

I prefer to focus on how you can relish this opportunity to express some darkness within.

Halloween can be healing. It’s an opportunity to look at the parts of you that reflect the Moon card’s disturbing hidden secrets.
