The Power of Words: 3 Oracle Decks
I am so giddy to share with you three super unique word decks that are currently available on a great offer in an Indiegogo campaign from Theresa Pridemore.
Theresa thinks outside the box and then compiles her thoughts into magick creations that she then puts inside very small, yet potent boxes.
Her first deck series is called the Sovereign Oracle, which follows a more classic style of word divination decks.
These three new decks head in a bold new direction.
Body Positivity Practices
It took me a long time to love my body.
We all know the reasons for this. Society has weird standards that our parents and friends sadly buy into.
Even if we do fit the “ideals”, most of us experience an aversion to the design of our corporeal earth suit in some way.
Today, I want to celebrate your shape and mine, and share some of the ways that I embraced my own short and bootyful bounty.
Love Your Animal Self
In my early twenties, I decided that the duck was my ‘Spirit Beast’. I decided to call it that to be funny, since a duck is not so beastly.
It fit me. I had a quacky voice, a waddly walk, a love of travel, and my sense of humor fit the bill. (Get it . . . the bill? Haaa . . . yeah . . .)
At this point, I was working in the Film industry in New York City. Kindness was not common, and I had to shake off a lot of attitude and ego from colleagues and managers and diva clients.
A mantra came to me from my divine ducky guides.
“Water off a duck’s back, Quack Quack”
Whenever someone would lay their bad mood into me, I would recite this to myself and shake my bottom twice on the words ‘quack quack’, wicking off the wet of their unwanted energy.
It helped a surprising amount. I could keep my head high and my mood light when the NYC grumps were rampant.
Pretty Oracles and Positive Astro Events
If things have felt a bit stuck since the end of October, trust that they should start moving more smoothly soon.
This week, Mars went out of retrograde and is heading direct.
This means that we can all begin to focus on the projects that we care about again with confidence that they will flow more easily.
This will improve even more next week when Mercury comes out of Retrograde.

Ridiculous Deck Flip Through
When I was in elementary school, I loved the grotesque humor of the Garbage Pail Kids. Snot dripping, vomit spewing, head-bursting, skin melting grossness. It was kid humor heaven.
My mom, however, did not approve. Probably for good reason. There was a lot of unhealthy social mockery and cartoonish violence in them for sure.
Well, now I am an adult and I do-what-I-want, MOM! I gave in and splurged the $25 for the official Garbage Pail Kids Tarot Deck.
It has a book written by a legit pro tarot reader, Minerva Siegel, so I felt validated. The deck also does a decent job translating the original Waite-Smith Symbolism into the grody theme.
A Pandemic Deck
The collective experience of 2020 was powerful. Around the world, we ALL sheltered in place. We ALL faced our fears of illness on such a grand scale.
Many of us faced loneliness, income loss, and/or depression.
Yet, many of us also found a sense of relief to slow down, reconnect with our inner introvert, make art, read books, or binge shows.
In the US, we also witnessed an uprising of protest for human rights, and many of us added our voice in our own way.
All of the above is true for me. Perhaps it was for you as well.
Take a moment to reflect on your personal journey with such a powerful moment in recent history. How have you grown or changed since then?
Deck-adent Tarot
This week, I share with you a view into my favorite new deck, The Tarot of Mystical Moments by Catrin Welz-Stein.
It more than satisfies for myself as a reader. However, it’s also not an easy starter deck. The images don’t wholly express the meanings of each card. Many are very simple in their symbolism.
That is why it adds so much to your life as a lover of meaningful art to really learn the 78 cards of the traditional Tarot. Once you grasp the essence of each card, which I teach you how to do in my upcoming online live course, you can read with any deck that you feel drawn to.

BabaBarock Studio has produced a cold stamp second edition of The Fantastic Menagerie Tarot, a compilation of images from Le Metamorphosis Du Jour by JJ Grandville, the illustrator who designed the images for the first print of Alice in Wonderland.

Theresa Pridemore has released 3 expansion decks for her word-based oracle deck. This is an accessible deck for a wordsmith or someone who is interested in divination, but not keen to dive into the depths of symbology.
