You Are Enough

I pulled cards to ask what to speak about today, and the shadowy cards of the Moon and 10 of Swords came up.

The overlapping messages of these are about the ways our limiting beliefs and inner turmoil hold us back.

For many of us, the feeling that we are trying our best and it’s just not quite making the mark is incredibly common.

So today, for just a few minutes, let’s sit and be present with what’s real in this moment.

Tarot reading for International Women’s Day

Tarot is a field that has a very female lineage. There are readers of all genders, but women have carried this art form through the centuries to modern day.

When I went to my first NW Tarot Symposium conference, I was surprised to find the unique culture that comes with this women-led industry.

There is a collaborative mindset of sharing our gifts and celebrating each other’s wins.

We support each other’s businesses.

We listen to other’s card interpretations with open minds and questions, even if we debate some concepts.

Male readers are quite enthusiastic to enact these values as well. Truly secure men enjoy their feminine side as much as women can enjoy our healthy masculine side.

This community makes me proud to be a reader.

Let Go to Let In

Today, I hope you’ll consider one area of your life that needs a little clearing up. It can be physical, mental, emotional, or energetic.

For any form of clearing, we start with attention.

What feelings need felt to let them move through you?

What thoughts need better noticed when they come up so we can pause and transmute them into a healthier version?

Where are we putting our energy too often that isn’t replenishing us enough?

What area of our spaces feels stagnant and cluttered?

Happy Year of the Wood Dragon

Xīnnián kuàilè! (Pronounced “She-nee-an Kwai leh”)
Happy New Year!

I lived in Taiwan for two years teaching English, and loved the vibrant fun of ringing in the lunar new year.

Celebrate by wearing red clothes this weekend, hanging red decor from your door, visit your beloved elders to pay respects, and do NOT clean house on Saturday! Get chores done on Friday or Sunday instead.

The Wood Dragon is an abundant year for creative endeavors and laying down foundations for long-term goals.

Free Reading with Golden Girls

Thank you for being a friend, dear reader. It means a lot to me.

After the blizzards and record-breaking rainstorms around the US last week, I think we can all do with a little sunny daydream of a warm place with witty friends.

This week, I am sharing a longer form reading with you from my beloved Golden Girls deck.

New Moon reading for New year

The reading offering below struck a chord with me this time. Collective offering readings don’t always for me.

Confession: I have had the same resolution for years, and strongly feel like this is the year to enact it.

Over the last month, I have been making strides toward it, and it is bringing up a lot of feelings. And what has supported this shift forward surprised me.

The Power of Words: 3 Oracle Decks

I am so giddy to share with you three super unique word decks that are currently available on a great offer in an Indiegogo campaign from Theresa Pridemore.

Theresa thinks outside the box and then compiles her thoughts into magick creations that she then puts inside very small, yet potent boxes.

Her first deck series is called the Sovereign Oracle, which follows a more classic style of word divination decks.

These three new decks head in a bold new direction.

What Insights did You gain this week?

At the Ashram in India over a decade ago, I was very frustrated with my Swami.

I wanted him to give me the answers and free me from my feelings of being lost.

He wouldn’t fess up. He just kept telling me that I had to find those answers within myself. Very annoying of him.

Each of us seek external support for our guidance.

We ask friends and family for their perspective, we go to coaches and consultants and teachers.

These are all great support systems that I celebrate you resourcing.

The catch is that these networks all function much better when you are also checking in regularly with your own inner guru.

Love Your Animal Self

In my early twenties, I decided that the duck was my ‘Spirit Beast’. I decided to call it that to be funny, since a duck is not so beastly.

It fit me. I had a quacky voice, a waddly walk, a love of travel, and my sense of humor fit the bill. (Get it . . . the bill? Haaa . . . yeah . . .)

At this point, I was working in the Film industry in New York City. Kindness was not common, and I had to shake off a lot of attitude and ego from colleagues and managers and diva clients.

A mantra came to me from my divine ducky guides.
“Water off a duck’s back, Quack Quack”

Whenever someone would lay their bad mood into me, I would recite this to myself and shake my bottom twice on the words ‘quack quack’, wicking off the wet of their unwanted energy.

It helped a surprising amount. I could keep my head high and my mood light when the NYC grumps were rampant.

Treat Yourself to a Fresh Perspective

One of my favorite types of readings to give is ‘Tarot Together‘, where two familiars sit and listen in on each other’s 30-minute readings. The person receiving the reading will often sit with a poker face, while their companion reflects delight and dismay at… Continue Reading “Treat Yourself to a Fresh Perspective”
