Navigate to your best life
As an Intuition Coach who helps people harness their inner guide, I have to be a constant student.
This week, a bittersweet lesson reminded me of the additional benefits of this practice.
I have been seeing a guy for about 6 months. While not serious, it has added a layer of sweet delight into my life.
Over the past week, I had a few moments of sensing that he might be ending our connection.
Each time, I considered the signals he had sent via text, and my logic told me it was just anxiety, although it didn’t carry apprehensive tension.
Instead, the thought felt quiet and calm.
It came up a few times. And I kept blowing it off because his behavior had not shifted, and, well, I was really busy.
So I didn’t stop my flow to tune into the nudge more closely.
And then I got the call… he’s overwhelmed with work and needs to simplify his life.
That I had sensed something amiss prior to this helped me manage the bad news better.
That quiet voice had prepared me for the possibility.
Most importantly, the resonance of how that voice spoke to me was compassionate and calming.
I could feel this again as he explained why he needed to disconnect.
Of course, part of me wonders if the intuition was signaling me to check in to renegotiate our norms for the summer phase.
This is a reminder to me that it’s always good to pause and reflect when a muted insight raps at your door.
But I don’t think that was it’s primary purpose. And anyhow that boat has sailed.
I think the benefit of this intuition was that it softened the shock.
So when is it Intuition and not Anxiety?
I know this answer is painfully obvious but . . . When it doesn’t feel anxious.
It’s as simple as that. You have to pause to listen to the subtle.
Allow awareness of the profoundly gentle.
It’s easier to hear the anxiety because it’s like a clanging bell of panic.
Intuition can be so mild that it can be easily tromped over and ignored.
But that does not take away from it’s influence. It can still align you with it’s soothing vibration when the event it predicted comes through.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Celebrate some fathers in your life, and appreciate your own healthy inner masculine. It’s probably a part of your intuitive knowing as well.
