Navigate to your best life
Welcome to 2026!
I hope you had a joyous holiday season and a satisfying entry into the year ahead.
I enjoyed time with my parents and chatted on the phone with extended family. Then I danced at a Disco Cowboy themed party with friends.
Since it’s the start of the year, our reading today offers more cards than usual, so I will keep this portion brief.
Heads up that I am going to be unavailable for readings for the first 3 weeks of February!
That makes January an especially great time to get some guidance. Sign up today for a personal tarot reading, an intuition coaching, a tarot reading lesson, or share the gift with someone you love in a Tarot Together session.
Bring magic to your events this year with a tarot or palm reader from Portlandia Fortune Tellers.Fill out our no commitment booking form today.

Deck: Surrealist Tarot By Luigi Di Giammarino and Massimiliano Filadoro
Considering what a weird year 2025 was, I felt like it’s apt to start out 2026 with the Surrealist Tarot.
We begin with the 2 of Swords and the Strength cards together. These speak to building confidence in each of us that we are capable of logically aligning with our most rational choices.
It is best for us to consider where our strengths lie and acknowledge where our blind spots are.
The 7 of Swords next to the 2 reflects how we sometimes throw out our confidence in our best decisions when we presume that a few weak spots means that we are incapable overall.
In moments like these, we can self-sabotage as we put more of our trust in others who have not proven themselves worthy of our best interests. Perhaps they have their own agenda or presume they know what’s best for us despite their own lack of information.
This year, lean into trusting yourself more fully and with the open eyes of someone who knows their flaws and respects themselves for their skills.
The 3 of Wands also reminds us to set toward the future with hope and curiosity. What do you want to put energy toward creating this year? Again, the 7 of Swords asks us to consider how we have countered our goals with a mentality that holds us back from moving toward them with more confidence.
3 of Wands is not a super-powered hustle. It’s firm baby steps with consistency. What are the small actions you can regularly take this week that will set yourself in motion to a good habit building for 2026?
The Hierophant is all about systems, structures, and organizations that can support us in our goals. Consider where your new habits can fit into a realistic routine. Reach out to any programs that already exist that can assist you in making your dreams happen.
The 8 of Cups reversed is the sacrifice you might have to make to make these dreams happen. If you want to achieve, you have to let go of some emotional attachments that either take time away from your goal or don’t fit into the big picture of where you are headed.
2026 looks like a great year to make some powerfully positive steps ahead with small but sure decisions. Build new habits that come from your own best wisdom, and are then supported by engaging with either a larger societal system or your own strong dedication to a real grand plan.
Own your goals with the assurance that you are a bad ass who makes things happen. Be your own best support, which can include reaching out to groups that smooth the path to your achievements.
